Press Release

DAP all set to work with the KLEPTOCRATS now

Sep 24, 2020

1. It looks like he’s back. Again! Even before anything, before he even convinces the Yang Di Pertuan Agong of his so-called majority support, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has started packing his bags to move into Seri Perdana, the official residence of the Prime Minister of Malaysia in Putrajaya.

2. The longest Prime Minister in Waiting yesterday announced that he had secured a “strong majority” from lawmakers to form a new government.

3. However, as former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said, this is not the first time Anwar had claimed of having majority support. He reminded everyone how a similar situation happened in September 2008 when the latter was his Deputy.

4. It is not just Dr Mahathir but Malaysians too who seem to be tickled by and are sceptical of Anwar’s claim. Within minutes of his announcement, various cartoons and memes of poking fun at Anwar taking oath in front of the King’s portraits started flooding the social media. Another viralled posting was that of a picture of Anwar and his wife sitting next to each other claiming he had the majority support in September 2008, February 2020 and the latest in September 2020.

5. Just seven months after seeing his chances of being elevated to the post crumble no thanks to the Pakatan Harapan (PH) pact collapsing due partly to internal rivalries and greatly to his own impatience of being appointed prime minister, Anwar is now trying to convince the people that he had been approached by a number of Member of Parliaments (MPs) from various parties to form a new government.

6. Sitting next to his wife, Anwar claimed these MPs were “unhappy” with the leadership of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. Anwar went on to insist that the government had fallen and that he was ready to take over.

7. So far, Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has stated that many MPs from the party and also Barisan Nasional (BN) had voiced their support for Anwar to form a new government.

8. Shortly after that, DAP secretary general Lim Guan Eng too issued a statement, reiterating that the party will throw its support behind Anwar. He said all 42 of the party MPs were ready to support the PKR President to become prime minister.

9. To say that I am shocked with DAPs latest stand would be an understatement. Is the DAP is now saying that it is willing to be in the same bed with Anwar and also those kleptocrats from Umno which the party leaders – especially Lim and his father, had been frothing in the mouth condemning all this years.

10. In another posting recently, I stated how the DAP-led Penang state government had drowned its C.A.T (Competent, Accountable and Transparent) principles in favour of developers instead of listening to the peoples’ concerns.

11. Now it is obvious the party is also set to abandon everything else it had ever fought for the sake of expediency to return to power. The DAP has got its sleeves all rolled up to work with the same people the father and son team had accused of raping and plundering the country all this time.

12. The DAP has some serious explaining to do and the party must do it now before their supporters are left wallowing in despair yet again, similar to what happened when the same DAP leaders broke so many promises and delivered so little when they were in power for a short 22 months.
